1. What can my MP do for me?
I'm here to help you in matters concerning Government policy or Government agencies.
If your concerns relate to local matters such as street cleaning, which are the responsibility of the Borough Council, then you should first of
all contact your local Councillor who is elected to represent you.
If you live in Hastings or St Leonards you can find out who that is by contacting Hastings Borough Council on 01424 781066 or the Council website www.hastings.gov.uk.
If you live in Rye, Iden, Playden, Icklesham, Winchelsea or Camber you should contact Rother District Council on 01424 787878 or visit the Council website www.rother.gov.uk
Problems with schools, roads, Social Services and other such matters are the responsibility of the County Council and should be referred to your County Councillor.
Again the Town Hall can tell you who that is if you are not sure. Alternatively this information will be on the East Sussex County Council website www.eastsussexcc.gov.uk
If your Councillor is unwilling or unable to help you please let me know and I will certainly look into your concerns and see if I can offer any assistance or
advice.
2. Is there anything an MP can't help with?
MPs cannot become involved in planning matters, legal issues, nor in disputes between constituents.
3. Can I visit Parliament?
Yes, I'm keen to help as many constituents as possible to visit Parliament and see our democracy at work. If you'd like to visit please contact my Diary Secretary,
Rosemary, on 01424 464604 and she will be pleased to assist.
